From 6th April 2016 it will be compulsory for all dog owners
to have their dogs microchipped. We have recommended and
offered this service to our clients for many years and continue
to provide it during normal working hours by appointment.

Having your pet microchipped at Hawick Vets also means you
will have the peace of mind that since they will be seen by
either a vet or qualified nurse they will have the opportunity
to be given a health check at the same time.
For more information please contact the practice or follow the

farmers and vets to monitor the situation. If you have any questions

Equine Vaccine Amnesty

We are keen to ensure that all horses are protected from Equine influenza and tetanus.  Therefore, we are running a vaccine amnesty again this year.  If your horse's vaccine has lapsed then we will offer the 2nd vaccine free of charge.  Appointments can be made for your horse to be vaccinated at the surgery thereby saving on a visit charge aswell.  Please contact reception to take advantage of this offer.
